******IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE HEBER WILD HORSES*******
Notice of Appeal: Land Management Plan for the
Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests
https://fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/fseprd487591.pdf
Please note, this is NOT the Heber Wild Horse Territory plan, it is the Land Management Plan which is an overall plan for the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. The Heber Wild Horse Territory is to be considered by the Forest Service in this plan yet it was obvious in the Land Management Plan that the Heber herd is of a low priority to Forest Service. Please go to the link and read this very important appeal which clearly states how the Forest Service has failed and continues to fail the Heber Herd.
The Notice Of Initiation for the Heber Wild Horse Territory was set for release by the Forest Service for January 1, 2016. However, that was a holiday for the Forest Service so the release may or may not come out on Monday depending on whether the Forest Service decides to postpone it as has happened several times during the past year.
As we have stated before, this Facebook page is just a part of what is being done to save the Heber wild horses. Many things are going on behind the scenes. Each and every Heber wild horse supporter is important. You are ALL needed and appreciated. After the release of the Notice Of Initiation comes out, there will be a public comment period. We will be asking for your support and comments to be submitted to the Forest Service to the address they will provide for public comments.
Please watch this page carefully for developments regarding America's Heber Wild Horse Herd. And thank you all for your continued support! This is a team effort and you are all part of the team! ~HWH~

Why not put it to the people by voting I think there are more people for saving the horses, by adoption as well as management.

What needs to be taken into consideration is that the Heber herd has the Heber Wild Horse Territory that was dedicated to them in 1973. They should not have to be removed in order to make the public lands cattle ranchers wealthier by being able to graze even more cattle in that area than they already are presently allowed. Grazing is a privilege that can be taken away while the wild horses have a right to be there and are protected under law. Leave the horses alone, get the cattle out!
